3 Blackberry Music Applications You Should Have

I enjoy music on my Blackberry and I hope you do too. That's if you have a Blackberry smartphone anyway. I use the Blackberry's music player a lot and I got tired of using it at some point. It's not any better than the media player on Nokia 3110c and I think Blackberry should do a lot more in this respect. If you are a Blackberry user and you are moving with time, you should not argue about that and if you do, it's your opinion.

This crave for more interesting features on Blackberry's media player pushed me on a app-hunting mission and I got some apps in my possession now. I was able to hunt some down. Really big kills. I won't eat them alone because that would be selfish. Here is your own piece too. Take it and share it with your friends too.

Great Free Music Applications For Your Blackberry:

1. Radio Apps: Blackberry should have a radio by default. By radio I don't mean the one you connect to the network. No! FM Radio, that's what I'm talking about. It' a great feature we should be enjoying on Blackberry and with unlimited BIS data transfer, we can listen to as many internet radio and enjoy hundreds of music stations online.
I once wrote about some applications that lets you listen to online radio stations. They have more than music stations but also sports and news stations.

Download the two applications: MiRoamer and Nobex Radio.

2. TuneWiki: this is a very nice application to have. You won't want to leave the application when you open it. It's just hard to switch to other apps not because it doesn't have the feature but because it is captivating enough to keep you glued to it.
This application plays music files that you have on your phone and connects to the internet to get it's lyrics. It synchronizes the lyrics with the song for your listening and reading pleasure.
This application also lets you explore Song Maps and real-time Top Charts to discover popular songs nearby and around the world, easily Share lyrics with your network of friends, get lyrics of songs as they play and also get lyrics instantly translated into 40+ languages.

3. Sasham: with Shazam you can easily Identify what song is playing. For example, if you are listening to a song on your radio or one someone else's phone and you would like to know the title and artist, you can make use of this Sasham Music app for Blackberry. Just open the app and place it near the speaker of the device playing the song, Sasham will bring the details of the song to you.

There are options there to buy the song and download to your phone, share tags with friends by text, email, Twitter and Facebook. You can also read track and album reviews, see what’s hot with Shazam’s Tag Chart, watch YouTube videos, search for music by artist and track.

Those are just the three Blackberry music apps I found and are worthy of sharing here. I will add more as I discover them. Hope you will like them too! You can share the ones you think should make this list and it's not there. Don't forget to share with your friends because I shared it with you too. Use our share buttons below.

How To Opt Out Of Automatic Etisalat Blackberry Voice Plan Subscription

If Etisalat is automatically subscribing you to their Blackberry Voice Plan and you wish to opt-out, here are few steps you should take to stop Etisalat automatic subscription to voice plan. I don't need to tell you how to know if you are being automatically subscribed because it's so clear to everyone in this problem. They simply deduct N100 everyday when you recharge and this is not good at all. I know because I was once a victim of it.

This problem started sometimes ago when I posted an article about how to to use Etisalat Blackberry Internet Subscription on your PC with some DNS settings and since then, everyone that tried it has been facing this problem. I used it too. It's even more annoying that the DNS Settings is no longer working. I have managed to find a solution though and you can make use of it if you have the same issues too.

How to Stop or Opt-out from Automatic Etisalat Blackberry Voice Plan Subscription

Here is how I solved the problem:
1. Recharge your phone with N200 and Etisalat will immediately deduct N100. You now have a balance of N100.
2. The next step is to dial *399*2# on your phone and Etisalat should stop subscribing you to their voice plans automatically.

You should be able to recharge and enjoy your credit like before, without the fear of N100 deduction. I should also point out that the steps above did not work for some people but they were able to solve it by migrating to the Etisalat Easy Cliq plan. You can do this by dialing *244*1#.
If after this you still can't solve this, call Etisalat Customer Care.

Hope this helps!

How To Check If Your SIM Is Registered – MTN, Airtel, Etisalat, Glo

These are steps to follow to check if your MTN, Airtel, Etisalat or Glo SIM card has been registered officially by your Network. It can be frustrating registering with this road-side kiosks claiming to register every SIM from every network. I've been a victim before and I couldn't go back to them to confront them when I hadn't got a proof that it has not been registered. After some digging anyway, I got the solution to check if your SIM has been registered and recognised by your network.
Some networks like Glo and Etisalat (in my case) do sent message from time to time to remind me to register my SIM card before I finally did. I don't know if they still do that though. If they still do, it would be easy to tell after 24 hours of registering your SIM and you still get messages from them. You don't have to wait for this anyway with the tips I'm going to give you here!

How to check if your MTN is Registered

Send REG as a message to 789. After sending the text to 789 with your MTN SIM card, you will get a reply confirming that you have been registered if it was actually registered, otherwise, you get a "not registered" message.
If your sim have been registered, you will get a service message saying:
2348031231565 has been registered. Thank you!
2348031231565 is your phone number!

How to check if your Airtel SIM card has been Registered

The only way to check if your Airtel SIM card has been registered as at the time of writing this post is by calling 111 on your phone or by sending an email to customercare@ng.airtel.com

How to check if your Etisalat SIM has been Registered

For Etisalat, you can verify your SIM card registration status by calling 200 or sending an email to care@etisalat.com.ng

How to Check if your Glo SIM is Registered

Send REG to 3456 as a message. If your line has been registered, you’ll receive a message that looks like the one below:
Your SIMCARD +2348071111111 has been registered. Thank You!
Enjoy!!!

Blackberry Display Pictures (DP) Download Websites

One of the things that makes Blackberry interesting is the Blackberry Messenger and one of the things that makes BBM fun is the Display Pictures (DP) used by your BBM Contacts. You can keep yourself busy and entertained by just viewing Display Pictures (Blackberry DP) of the contacts on your Blackberry Messenger. Some can even enlighten you, some to send a message, some motivational and some to share your mood with your contacts.

Blackberry Social Feed – Social, News Feeds In One App

I own a Blackberry Bold 9790 (Bold 6) and this application called Social Feeds 2.0 came pre-installed on it. I initially neglected it and went on to configure the basic features of the Blackberry phone. When I later got to it, I felt I should have configured it earlier.
Social Feed app lets you stay up-to-date with your social networks and receive the latest news and information from the blogs and websites you choose all in one place, on a single application.

Tecno Phantom N9 (Android Tablet) Specifications & Price

Tecno Android Tablet (Tecno Phantom N9) was recently released in Nigeria after the release of several Android Phones like the Tecno N3 and Tecno F7 amongst other. Some call it the Tecno Pad. The two that I mentioned above are my favourites of the TECNO Android Phones Series. I must say they are posing a strong challenge to Samsung Android phones and Samsung must be aware of this by now. If they don’t, it’s at their own peril.

Tecno D3 Android Phone Specifications

This Tecno D3′s Specifications is coming in this post because of some requests I got. People asked for the specifications of this Android Tecno D3 after I wrote an article on the Tecno Phantom N9 (Android Tablet) earlier today. I must say at this point that one thing I don’t like about the Tecno D3 is that it has no 3G. Another thing I don’t like about this Tecno Android phone is that the secondary camera is poor at 0.3 MP. Like all other Tecno Android phones, it is dual SIM and can support up to 32GB media card.
